OBJECTIVES

We live in a time marked by events that destabilize human life. These are situations of fragility, vulnerability and conflict. To face a world that needs to rebalance itself, it is important to provide professional support to those who need it, and to conduct each intervention as an opportunity to promote positive changes and reduce negative impacts.

The course “Intervention in fragile and conflict scenarios” will provide professionals and institutions with the appropriate means to deal with current and future challenges, through the Conflict-Sensitive Approach, used by the UN, governments and renowned international institutions.

. Format: online classes.

. Methodology: through theoretical framework and case studies (texts, videos, reports), students conduct research, group activities to discuss and apply the methodology, and build an action plan for an intervention.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The course is for professionals who work or design projects in fragile and

conflict-affected contexts.

  • Areas: business, public sector, NGOs, OSCIPs, humanitarian aid, sustainable development, emergencies and disasters, peace promotion.

  • Professionals in: health, mental health, psychosocial care, social assistance, education, law, public safety, civil defense, emergencies and disasters, project management, and those who wish to delve deeper into the subject.

. Specializations in the areas of: Conflict Sensitivity, Business, Conflict and Peacebuilding from: UN — United Nations System Staff College; and University of Basel, CARITAS, HELVETAS and swisspeace / Switzerland;

. Postgraduate degree in Information Systems from the University of Geneva / Switzerland;

. Extension in Strategic Design from the European Institute of Design / Rio de Janeiro.

. Director of Comsut, a communication and education project company.
